Oysters Rockefungus

A nice clump found at 45mph. Obviously, my attention wasn't entirely on my driving.

Nice use of the reflector, Steve! I think I need to take lessons from you on lighting.

The details of the undersides are really beautiful, the whole group is so pristine! You must have some sharp eyes to spot these driving! Janice

Fantastic shot of this clump of 'shrooms Steve. I never would have noticed these if I was driving. How did you do this?

hi Steve,

the superbly lit gills provide a strong point of interest.

This nice clump is definitely worth a stopover.:)

Hi

As the others have already posted an excellent shot

The grouping of the subject is great, the fact that they look pristine is superb, while you composition and lighting look is first rate

A top shot

All the best
Matthew

Well...that's kind of a joke. :-) The reflector is just a Photoflex 5in1, but Mark held it superbly. :-) He also provides shade when needed. :-)

Steve, I believe that having someone holding the reflector must be a great asset and Mark did a great job. The light is as good as it's gets and this is a superb shot in every respect. Congrats!

Excellent grouping, Steve.. What I like best is the level you shot this at to show both topside and gills on the different fungi.
Enjoy viewing

the 'shrooms are so sharp steve that they separate so totally from the bark that i thought THEY were flying at me at 45mph
mark is an excellent reflector-holder/shade-maker 'cause that gill lighting is gorgeous!!
